En este artículo se intenta dar una visión global de las negociaciones para la adhesión de España a las Comunidades Europeas, intentando escapar del enfoque más tradicional en el que por lo general se ha insistido en la importancia que el proceso de integraciín tenía para la transición política española y en el papel que jugaron las relaciones hispanofrancesas. Sin obviar estos dos factores, el principal objetivo de estas páginas es situar la ampliación dentro de la agenda comunitaria de finales de los años setenta y primeros ochenta.
In this article we try to provide a global view of the negotiations toward the Spanish accession to the European Communities. We try to avoid the more traditional approach that has insisted on the context of the Spanish transition and the role played by the relationship with France. Without omitting these two factors, our main goal is to place the enlargement in the communitarian agenda at the end of the seventies and the beginning of the eighties.
