En los últimos años la tecnología y la investigación han aumentado su popularidad en nuestra sociedad. Pocos son aquellos que no ven en ambas el potencial para desarrollar una sociedad fuerte y productiva. Alemania se dio cuenta de la fuerza de estos campos hace mucho tiempo, y apostó también por la Innovación, disponiendo en la actualidad del mayor sistema de innovación dentro de la Unión Europea, y convirtiéndose en su potencia económica mas fuerte. No es extraño por tanto, que cada vez mas jóvenes españoles se animen a salir y hacer la tesis doctoral en Alemania. En este artículo daremos una visión general de las oportunidades doctorales que los graduados internacionales tienen en Alemania, y nos centraremos en uno de los programas doctorales con mayor fuerza en el este de este país: el Programa de Doctorado Internacional de Dresde (Dresden International PhD program or DIPP).
In recent years technology and research have increased its popularity in our society. Few are those that do not see in both the potential to develop a strong and productive society. Germany realized the strength of these fields long time ago, and bet also on innovation, having currently the largest innovation system within the European Union, and becoming its strongest economic power. It is not surprising therefore that an increasing number of young Spaniards are encouraged to move out of their country to make their doctoral thesis in Germany. In this article we will give an overview of the doctoral opportunities that international graduated students have in Germany, and we will concentrate on one of the doctoral programmes getting major popularity in the East of the country: the Dresden international PhD programor DIPP
