El 12 de octubre de 1492 es la puerta de entrada al espacio iberoamericano de memoria. Los resultados obtenidos del análisis comparativo de la legislación concerniente al 12 de octubre en España, México y Venezuela evidencian, por un lado, la influencia multivectorial de estos países en el significado que subyace a esta fecha y, por otro lado, los resultados señalan que los órdenes, relaciones de poder y estructuras discursivas identificadas acerca de este discurso conmemorativo son de importancia primordial en la legislación referente a los bicentenarios del comienzo de los procesos de independencia en América Latina y, por ello, fundamentales para su interpretación. ¿Se han producido cambios en el discurso sobre el espacio de memoria a partir del V centenario y los bicentenarios? ¿Qué ordenes, relaciones de poder y discursos dominan las transformaciones de este espacio y qué mecanismos de inclusión y de exclusión subyacen en éstos?
October 12, 1492 is the door to the Ibero American space of memory. The results obtained from a comparative analysis of the legislation concerning October 12 th in Spain, Mexico and Venezuela indicate, on the one hand, the multivectoral influence of these countries regarding the meaning of this date and, on the other hand, results show that the identified orders, power relations and discursive structures concerning this commemorative discourse are of primary importance to the legislation on the bicentenaries of the beginning of the independence movements in Latin America, and therefore fundamental for their interpretation. What are the transformations in discourse on October 12 th , and especially between the quincentenary of the so called discovery and the bicentenaries? What are the orders, power relations and discourses that dominate the politics of memory in the Ibero-American Community?
