This article addresses the effects of yoga on the subjective quality of sleep in teachers. Such an approach is necessary due to the large number of physical and psychological variables that affect changes in the daily lives of these professionals, directly interfering with the quality of sleep, especially in routines with a lot of stress and work overload. The purpose of this study is identify the quality of sleep of teachers at Alpha school, providing this publicwith knowledge, as well as clarifying the main characteristics that interfere in this process, generating new ideas of habits, which will be achieved through a physiotherapy protocol, based on yoga postures. This research is a cross-sectional field research with a descriptive approach carried out in May 2021 in times of social isolation at Covid 19. Those investigated were professors at Alpha College, who were asked to answer the questionnaire created in Google Forms. Results: 24 teachers answered the questionnaire, being 91.66 % female; 20.83% aged between 45-55 years. As for the question whether they currently feel any pain in the body, 62.5% feel pain in the body, 33.33% stated that they feel muscle pain, being 54% stated that they do not feel any kind of pain.
O presente artigo aborda efeitos do yoga sobre a qualidade subjetiva do sono em professores. Tal abordagem se faz necessária devido ao número de variáveis físicas e psicológicas, que afetam estes profissionais, interferindo na qualidade do sono, principalmente em rotinas de estresse e sobrecarga de trabalho. O propósito deste estudo é identificar a qualidade do sono dos professores, proporcionando conhecimento, mostrando os principais fatores que interferem no sono, gerando hábitos, que serão alcançados por um protocolo de fisioterapia, baseado no yoga. Esta pesquisa trata-se de uma pesquisa de campo, transversal com abordagem descritiva realizada no mês de maio de 2021 em tempos de isolamento social do Covid 19. Os investigados foram professores do colégio Alpha, conduzidos a responder o questionário elaborado no Google Forms. Responderam ao questionário 24 professores, sendo 91,66% mulheres; com idade entre 45-55 anos, dessas, 62,5% sentem dores, 33,33% sentem dores musculares, e 54% não sentem.
