The present work seeks to debate the city within a context where it presents itself less and less as a space of socialization, becoming more and more segregated, where the architectural forms present such dynamic that represents the ways in which public spaces are delimited, especially through the so-called hostilearchitecture. In the opposite direction to this process, there are social groups that resist this order of things and try to make counterfeit places, through contentious practices, creating new glances in the face of what is put. Thus, the aim of the article is to analyze how dissent occurs in some social manifestations in cities based on the categories of the philosopher Jacques Rancière (police and politics). The methodology used was the selection of contemporary images of the cities with their respective practices of resistance -dissension, where the attempt is made to evidence the imagetic resource as a way of situating the research problem.
O presente trabalho procura debater a cidade dentro de um contexto onde ela se apresenta cada vez menos enquanto um espaço de socialização, se tornando cada vez mais segregada, onde as formas arquitetônicas apresentam tal dinâmica que representa as maneiras em que os espaços públicos são delimitados, sobretudo através da chamada arquitetura hostil. Na contramão desse processo, existem grupos sociais que resistem a tal ordem das coisas e procuram fazer contra-usos dos lugares, através de práticas contestatórias, criando novos olhares frente aquilo que está posto. Assim, o objetivo do artigo é analisar como ocorre dissenso em algumas manifestações sociais nas cidades com base nas categorias do filósofo Jacques Rancière (polícia e política). A metodologia utilizada foi a seleção de imagens contemporâneas das cidades com suas respectivas práticas de resistências – o dissenso, onde se procura evidenciar o recurso imagético como caminho para situar o problema de pesquisa.
