El objetivo general de la investigación fue analizar la regulación del delito de child gromming en la legislación ecuatoriana. Desde el paradigma cuantitativo, la investigación se enmarcó en un diseño documental, ya que se analizó y estudió una serie de datos obtenidos relacionados a la regulación del delito de child gromming en la legislación ecuatoriana, la investigación documental como proceso fundamentado en la indagación, lo que quiere decir los alcanzados y registrados por otros investigadores, las fuentes bibliográficas apoyan esta investigación documental. La población se conformó por tesis, normas, leyes, trabajos arbitrados; fundamentando el contenido teórico. Se concluye que concuerdan los elementos que constituyen la imagen del Child grooming: búsqueda, selección, exposición, sexualización y performance. En general, las víctimas piensan que debido a que las conductas clásicas de acoso sexual no son prescriptivas, o por vergüenza o miedo, no denuncian estos incidentes, se recomienda establecer mecanismos para reducir este flagelo.
The general objective of the research was to analyze the regulation of the crime of child gromming in Ecuadorian legislation. From the quantitative paradigm, the research was framed in a documentary design, since it was analyzed and studied a series of data obtained related to the regulation of the crime of child gromming in the Ecuadorian legislation, the documentary research as a process based on the inquiry, which means those reached and registered by other researchers, the bibliographic sources support this documentary research. The population was conformed by thesis, norms, laws, refereed works; basing the theoretical content. It is concluded that the elements that constitute the image of child grooming are consistent: search, selection, exposure, sexualization and performance. In general, victims think that because the classic behaviors of sexual harassment are not prescriptive, or because of shame or fear, they do not report these incidents, it is recommended to establish mechanisms to reduce this scourge.
