La enseñanza en la etapa pre revolucionaria en el territorio que actualmente ocupa el municipio de Jatibonico estuvo basada en patrones extranjeros fundamentalmente, primero durante la colonia la educación era totalmente memorística, a la usanza de los métodos utilizados por la metrópoli española y más tarde con la instauración de la república mediatizada, comenzó a ejercerse la docencia de acuerdo a los cánones norteamericanos de la época. Lógicamente, la didáctica que guiaba el proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje en aquel entonces no respondía precisamente a los intereses de alumnos y profesores sino a las necesidades del gobierno de turno y a la corrupción que imperaba por aquellos años. Sin embargo, en Cuba y específicamente en Jatibonico existieron maestros destacados que revolucionaron la docencia utilizando componentes novedosos de la didáctica en aquellos momentos. El presente trabajo realiza un acercamiento al tema por lo que se traza como objetivo describir el desarrollo de la didáctica dentro de la historia educativa de Jatibonico antes de 1959. Lo que permitió conformar la historia de la educación del territorio en esta etapa.
The teaching in the pre revolutionary stage in the territory that at the moment occupies the municipality of Jatibonico was sabed fundamentally on foreign patterns, first during the colony the education was totally by memory, to the usage of methods used by the Spanish metropolis and later with the setting-up of the mediatized republic it began to be exercised the educational according to the North American taxes of the time. Logically, the didactics that guided the process of the teaching learning at that time didn't respond in fact to the interests of students and professors but to the shift government's necessities and the corruption that it reigned for those years. However, in Cuba and specifically in Jatibonico outstanding teachers that revolutionized the educational using components of the outstanding didactics in those moments existed. The present work carries out an approach to the topic for what is traced as objective to describe the development of the didactics inside the educational history of Jatibonico before 1959. What allowed to conform the history of the education of the territory in this stage.
