El presente proyecto de investigación se enfoca en la caracterización del impacto Socioeducativo de las TIC en la Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander-UFPS, se parte de la observación sobre la influencia del discurso de las TIC en los estudiantes y la manera de cómo deben apropiarse en la cotidianidad del alma mater entre el estudiante y el docente. El propósito del proyecto es caracterizar el impacto socioeducativo de las TIC en la Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander, para así, saber el tipo de uso que se le ha dado a estas tecnologías en la formación personal y profesional y si ha sido efectivo para el aprendizaje y la comunicación de los estudiantes. En la investigación se aplicó una encuesta con el fin de describir las competencias comunicativas, académicas y profesionales de los estudiantes de la UFPS frente al uso de las TIC, evidenciando el impacto negativo que ha traído la incorporación de estas al ámbito académico y social, sin embargo, no se pretende satanizar el desarrollo de las TIC, sino resaltar que detrás de las ventajas y beneficios hay una realidad social que aqueja a la comunidad universitaria para desarrollar una sensibilización social frente al uso adecuado de las TIC.
This research was focused on the characterization of the social impact of the New Information and Communication Technologies-NICT at Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander. This study is based on the influence of the speech of NICT in the students and the way from how they must appropriate in the everydayness of the Alma Mater between the students and the teachers. The main objective of the project is to do a characterization the socio-educational impact of NICT at the University, besides it is known the type of use that has been given to NICT in their personal and professional training and whether it has been effective learning in student communication. During the research was applied a survey in order to describe the professional, communicative and academic competences of students in the use of these technologies, it is deduced that the negative impact of NICT affects the academic and social environment, however, It is not intended to demonize the development of NICT, but it is noted that behind the advantages and benefits, there is a social reality that afflicts the university community to develop a social awareness about the proper use of New Information and Communication Technologies.
