    Objetivo: explorar las experiencias turísticas de personas disidentes de género en América Latina y promover la sensibilización para reducir la discriminación en la industria turística. Metodología: se realizaron entrevistas cualitativas a personas con identidades de género no normativas en países de la región. Resultados: para las personas con identidades de género no normativas, las experiencias turísticas tienen mucha importancia emocional, física, interpersonal e identitaria. Valor: este estudio contribuye al entendimiento de las experiencias turísticas desde la perspectiva de la diversidad de género. Limitaciones: los resultados no son generalizables a todas las personas de la región que tienen una identidad de género divergente. Conclusiones: las experiencias turísticas de las personas con identidades de género no normativas están asociadas de manera profunda con el género y con un estigma social

    Objective: to explore the touristic experiences of gen-der dissident individuals in Latin America and to pro-mote the sensibilization to reduce discrimination in the touristic industry. Methodology: qualitative inter-views were conducted with people with non-normati-ve gender identities in countries of the region. Results: for people with non-normative gender identities tou-ristic experiences have relevance, both positive and negative, in the emotional, physical, interpersonal, and identity spheres. Value: this study contributes to the understanding of tourist experiences from a pers-pective of gender diversity. Limitations: the results are not generalizable to the entire population with diver-se gender identities in the study region. Conclusions: the tourist experiences of people with non-normative gender identities are deeply associated with gender and social stigma.
