El objetivo del artículo es proponer una ruta de acción para el Ministerio Público de Costa Rica en el marco del Modelo de actuación para orientar, asistir y proteger a las mujeres migrantes, transfronterizas y refugiadas víctimas de violencia en el cantón de Upala. La intención es que las Fiscalías desarrollen una relación con las redes de mujeres presentes en las comunidades de la frontera norte del país que permita visibilizar la violencia, investigar situaciones constitutivas de delitos y también mejorar las condiciones del acceso a la justicia de las mujeres migrantes mediante el despliegue de políticas de persecución penal específicas, acciones preventivas y de control ciudadano de las instituciones involucradas en la gestión de los flujos migratorios.
The aim of this article is to suggest a course of action for Costa Rica's Office of the Public Prosecutor within the framework of the Action Model to guide, help and protect migrant, cross-border and refugee women victims of violence in the canton of Upala. We intend for the Prosecuting Offices to establish a connecton with the networks of women present in the communities on the nothern border of the country, which may allow for the visibilization of violence, the investigation of events leading to crimes as well as an improvement in the conditions through which migrant women gain access to justice, by formulating specific criminal prosecution policies, carrying out preventive actions and implementing measures for citizens to ovresee the institutions involved in the management of migratory fluws.
