O objetivo geral desta pesquisa foi o de analisar as formas pelas quais a Diplomática Contemporânea, como disciplina relacionada à Arquivologia, auxilia no atendimento à Lei 13.709 de 14 de agosto de 2018, também conhecida como Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD). Especificamente se objetivou discutir as aproximações entre a Diplomática Contemporânea e a proteção de dados pessoais, apresentar a LGPD e identificar os princípios da Lei que podem ser atendidos pela Diplomática Contemporânea. Metodologicamente, trata-se de pesquisa qualitativa e exploratória, bibliográfica e documental. Como resultado, demonstra-se a contribuição da Diplomática Contemporânea na proteção de dados pessoais, em especial na possibilidade de atendimento a quatro princípios da Lei.
The general objective of this research was to analyze the ways in which contemporary diplomatics, as a discipline related to Archival Science,services help comply with Law 13.709 of August 14, 2018, also known in Brazil as the General Data Protection Law (LGPD). Specifically, the objective was to discuss the approximations between the contemporary diplomatics and the protection of personal data, present the LGPD and identify the principles of the Law that can be met by the contemporary diplomatics. Methodologically, it is a qualitative and exploratory, bibliographical, and documentary research. As a result, the contribution of contemporary diplomatics in the protection of personal data is demonstrated, especially in the possibility of complying with three principles of the Law.
