    Los criptoactivos están suponiendo un enorme reto para reguladores y supervisores, no solo por su carácter disruptivo dentro de los sistemas financieros, sino, también, por la rapidez con la que evolucionan y la capacidad de ofrecer nuevos productos y servicios. Este artículo pretende, en primer lugar, analizar dicha evolución de los criptoactivos como forma de financiación alternativa y su ámbito regulatorio, para, seguidamente, dibujar su ámbito de consolidación y los nuevos retos que aventuran.

    Crypto-assets pose a significant challenge for regulators and supervisors, not only because of their disruptive features, but also because of the speed of their evolution and their ability to provide new products and services. This article aims to analyze firstly, the evolution of crypto-assets as an alternative way of financing and their regulatory environment, and then to outline their scope of consolidation and the new challenges that lie ahead.
