El presente artículo se ha realizado con dos objetivos claros : en primer lugar, la intención de presentar la evolución del sistema archivístico romano y sus componentes durante el periodo imperial; en segundo lugar, en el caso del periodo del Bajo Imperio romano trataremos de explicar y defender que se trató de un periodo de continuidad con el pasado, si bien con sus propias innovaciones y cambios, desterrando la idea de decadencia.
This article has been written with two clear objectives: firstly, the intention is to present the evolution of the Roman archival system and its components during the imperial period; secondly, in the case of the period of the Low Roman Empire we will try to explain and defend that it was a period of continuity with the past, although with its own innovations and changes, banishing the idea of decadence.
