The author aims to show how and why rhetoric, rather than philosophy itself, can and should constitute, with regard to the subjects it deals with, an interdisciplinary paradigm of investigations to be undertaken by philosophy and science in general. From this perspective, he carefully analyses the “state of the art” thinking on the subject, reviewing the respective bibliography, and puts forward a set of fundamental proposals for achieving this objective
L’auteur vise à montrer comment et pourquoi la rhétorique, plutôt que la philosophie elle ‑même, peut et devrait constituer, sur les sujets qu’elle traite, un paradigme interdisciplinaire des investigations à développer par la philosophie et par les sciences en géné-ral. Il analyse attentivement, dans cette perspective, l’ “état de l’art” sur le sujet, en passant en revue la bibliographie respective, et fait un ensemble de propositions fondamentales pour atteindre cet objectif
O autor visa mostrar como e porque é que a retórica, em vez da filosofia propriamente dita, pode e deve constituir, sobre as matérias de que se ocupa, um paradigma interdisciplinar das investigações a desenvolver pela filosofia e pelas ciências de maneira geral. Analisa atentamente, nesta perspetiva, o “estado da arte” sobre o assunto, revendo a respetiva bibliografia, e faz um conjunto de propostas fundamentais para se alcançar um tal objetivo
