Todo aniversario ofrece la oportunidad de hacer cuentas y llevar a cabo un inventario de lo hecho, de lo que se está haciendo y de lo que está por hacerse. y esta oportunidad deviene reto cuando el aniversario que celebramos es el 50 de la fundación del Centro de Estudios Latinoamericanos (CELA) de la Facultad de Ciencias Políticas y Sociales. En dos jornadas internacionales convocadas por el CELA precisamos una agenda de revisión de nuestros logros del pasado y los retos para el futuro inmediato. No es ésta la sede para reiterarlas. Más bien interesa, a grandes trazos, subrayar aquí cuan vinculada ha estado la vida de nuestro Centro con las grandes líneas estructurales y las coyunturas decisivas que ahora definen con creciente claridad algunas de las principales tendencias del porvenir.
All anniversary offers the opportunity to make statements and conduct an inventory of what has been done, what is being done and what is to be done. and this opportunity becomes a challenge when we celebrate is the anniversary 50 of the foundation of the Center for Latin American Studies (CELA), Faculty of Political and Social Sciences. Two international conferences convened by the CELA we need an agenda for reviewing our past achievements and challenges for the immediate future. This is not the venue to reiterate them. Rather interested in broad strokes, stress here how life has been linked to our center with the major structural lines and critical junctures now and more clearly define some of the major trends of the future.
