Las intervenciones y acciones medioambientales, consecuencia principalmente de la creciente repercusión de fenómenos como el cambio climático, están ocasionando un pausado pero constante e imparable procesotransformador de carácter social, económico y jurídico, entre otros. Su incidencia repercute en innumerables ámbitos y, en concreto, en la gestión de residuos los efectos jurídicos son de acuciante actualidad. Así pues,en el presente trabajo se analizará la reciente legislación (Ley 7/2021, de 20 de mayo, de Cambio Climático y Transición Energética y Proyecto de Ley de Residuos y Suelos Contaminados para una Economía Circular) y los efectos que, al amparo de la economía circular, se prevén sobre la gestión de residuos municipales.
Environmental interventions and actions, mainly the consequence of the growing impact of phenomenasuch as climate change, are causing a slow but constant and unstoppable transformative process of a social, economic, legal nature, among others. Its incidence has repercussions in innumerable areas and, specifically, in waste management, the legal effects are of pressing relevance. To this end, in this paper, the recent legislation (Law 7/2021, of May 20, on Climate Change and Energy Transition and Draft Law on Waste and Contaminated Soils) and the effects that, under the protection of the circular economy, they areforeseen on municipal waste management.
