Taking Kant’s suspicion of the morality (moral law) as a simple phantom of the mind as a departing point, we are intending to investig ate the central role of the moral consciousness, taken here both as the possible source of this illusion so much as the premise through which one can infer the normativity of reason and assure the reality of duty and of our moral experience. Despite the fact this suspicion be somehow inevitable and remains in the philosopher’s mind as a kind of threat, it has been contrasted with a factual perspective of morality – according to which the experience of morality as an unconditional obligation is by itself an evidence of its intrinsic origin in reason
Partindo da iminente suspeita de Kant de que a moralidade (a lei moral) possa ser um mero fantasma da mente, nós investigamos a centrali dade da consciência moral, considerada aqui tanto como a possível fonte dessa ilusão quanto à premissa por meio da qual se pode inferir a normatividade da razão e assegurar a realidade do dever e de nossa experiência moral. Não obstante o fato de que essa suspeita seja inevitável e se mantenha no radar do filósofo como um tipo de ameaça, ela foi tangenciada com uma perspectiva fática da moralidade, segundo a qual a experiência da moralidade como uma obrigação incondicional é por si só a evidência da sua origem intrínseca à razão
