El objetivo del artículo es fundamentar los sustentos teóricos de la formación ciudadana que se desarrolla en la Educación Superior cubana como vía para lograr la formación de valores morales en el proceso de formación profesional. En el estudio se emplearon los métodos analítico-sintético, histórico-lógico e inductivo-deductivo. Se parte de la definición de conceptos como formación ciudadana, moral, ética; se profundiza en las raíces conceptuales de la formación ciudadana en el pensamiento cubano de los siglos XIX y XX; se valora el concepto en relación con las condiciones histórico-concretas del mundo contemporáneo. Se presenta el resultado de un estudio teórico que permitió profundizar en los antecedentes de la formación ciudadana y analizarla en el contexto educativo de la universidad cubana actual.
The objective of the article is to theoretically sustain citizenship formation that is developed in Cuban higher education as a way to contribute to the formation of moral values in the professional formation process. From the theoretical level methods such as the analytic-synthetic, historic-logical, and inductive-deductive one were used. The paper begins with the definition of citizenship formation, moral and ethics; then, it deepens into the conceptual roots of citizenship formation in the Cuban thought of XIX and XX centuries from the real historical conditions of contemporary world. The result of a theoretical study is presented which allowed deepening into the antecedents of citizenship formation and its analysis in the educational context of Cuban current university.
