Uno de los barrios marineros más importantes de Galicia fue el de Moureira, en Pontevedra. La esencia portuaria de esta ciudad hoy es prácticamente irreconocible, debido a las transformaciones que experimentó, sobre todo, a partir del siglo XIX. De todos modos, como ocurrió en otros muchos ejemplos atlánticos, el puerto y la actividad que éste generó fueron el motor de su florecimiento urbano. Precisamente, en las páginas que siguen se presenta un estudio que, partiendo del análisis de la documentación gráfica conservada, ha recuperado y analizado la historia material e inmaterial de la que quedan escasas huellas en su urbanismo.
One of the most important marine neighborhoods in galicia was a Moureira, in Pontevedra. The port essence of this city today is practically unrecognizable, due to the transformations it underwent, especially from the 19th century. In any case, as in many other Atlantic examples, the port and the activity it generated were the engine of its urban flourishing. Precisely, in the following pages, a study is presented that, based on the analysis of the preserved graphic documentation, has recovered and analyzed a good part of a material and immaterial history of which few traces remain in its urban planning.
