The article consists of an examination of the various versions of the letter 12 of Spinoza’s Correspondence, the ‘Letter on Infinity’. It is legacy in two Latin versions, one of which comes from Leibniz and the other from Meyer, and a Dutch version. In our study, we will collate the two Latin "copies", in order to verify if there is not enough evidence to be able to consider them translations of the dated text written in Dutch language.
O artigo consiste num exame das várias versões da carta 12 da Correspondência de Spinoza, a ‘Carta sobre o infinito’. Ela é legada em duas versões latinas, uma das quais procede de Leibniz e a outra de Meyer, e uma versão holandesa. Em nosso estudo, cotejaremos as duas “cópias” latinas, com o intuito de verificar se não há indícios suficientes para se poder considerá-las traduções do texto datado, escrito em holandês.
