¿Quién es Susy Shock? Es la pregunta que resuena desde Giribone, un centro cultural que surge en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires en el año 2001. Con los escombros de la crisis, cuando todo se derrumbó, en Giri se creó un refugio para subsistir. Allí Susy Shock, como primer objeto a crearse se inventó y reinventó en cada casita, en cada escenario improvisado, en cada canción o vuelta de página. Su poesía es una afirmación constante de un grito que repudia todo intento de identificación, por eso, abordar a Susy Shock no es más que capturar tan solo un reflejo de su constante (de)construcción. Este trabajo repara en su trayectoria artística, atendiendo dos momentos epigonales de su carrera. Por un lado, Las Noches Bizarras, espectáculo de varieté teatral que nació en el Centro Cultural Giribone y en el cual Susy Shock desplegó sus alas de mariposas que promueve barricadas. Por otro lado, su participación en las presentaciones de lanzamiento de El Teje. Primer periódico travesti latinoamericano en el Centro Cultural Rojas de la Universidad de Buenos Aires.
Who is Susy Shock? That is the question that resonates from Giribone, a cultural center that appears in Buenos Aires city in 2001. When everything collapsed, a haven to subsist was created at Giri with the debris from the crisis. There Susy Shock, as the first object to be created, invented and reinvented herself in every little house, on every improvised stage, in every song or turning of a page.
Her poetry is a constant affirmation of a cry that repudiates every attempted identification, this is why approaching to Susy Shock is just to capture a single reflection of her constant (de)construction. This paper thinks about her artistic career, paying attention to two epigonal moments of it. On one hand, Las Noches Bizarras (Bizarre Nights), theatrical varieté show that was born at Giribone Cultural Center, where Susy Shock spread her barricade-fostering butterfly wings. On the other, her involvement in El Teje. Primer periódico travesti latinoamericano (The Teje. First Latin American transvestite newspaper) launching presentations, at the Rojas Cultural Center of the University of Buenos Aires..
