La “Guelaguetza” también conocida como “lunes del cerro”, es una de las principales celebraciones de danza y música en Oaxaca, México y América; por tal motivo es el festival folklórico más grande del continente Americano que tiene sus raíces desde tiempos ancestrales y el formato de “bailables” desde 1932. La palabra Guelaguetza corresponde al pago del tributo, y en zapoteco significa “intercambio recíproco de regalos y servicios”. La finalidad de presentar la Guelaguetza en centros de ecoturismo, es generar una derrama económica en las comunidades donde se localiza cada centro ecoturístico. Ecoturixtlán es el centro de ecoturismo indicado para desarrollar éste proyecto, ya que cuenta con la infraestructura y las condiciones adecuadas para el mismo.
The "Guelaguetza" also known as "Monday of the hill", is a major dance and music celebrations in Oaxaca, Mexico and Latin; for this reason is the American continent that has its roots from ancient times and the format of "dance" from 1932's largest folk festival. The word Guelaguetza corresponds to the payment of tribute, and Zapotec means "reciprocal exchange of gifts and services" . The purpose of presenting the Guelaguetza in ecotourism centers is to generate an economic impact in the communities where each ecotourism center is located. Ecoturixtlán ecotourism center is indicated to develop this project because it has the infrastructure and the right conditions for it.
