The 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Objectives and 169 targets were analyzed, and Goal 14 stands out as a reference in a doctoral thesis research that proposes value strategy model based on the requirements of environmental sustainability for the cruise ships. This exploratory and descriptive study carries out a research on the regulations applicable to the principles of environmental sustainability in the general scope and in seeking to identify specificities on the marine environment concerning the life in the water and the actions carried out for the conservation and sustainable use of oceans, seas and marine resources. The research describes the evolution of sustainability considering the most relevant facts in chronological order, since the end of the Second World War, to the UN Summit on Sustainable Development held in 2015 when the Agenda was presented to the world. In addition, a quantitative survey was carried out with 72 organizations that interact with the marine environment, to verify, if there is any knowledge about Agenda. The results indicate the lack of knowledge of most consulted organizations regarding the Objectives and Goals for the sustainable development.
A Agenda 2030, da Organização das Nações Unidas, e seus 17 Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável e 169 metas, foram analisados e o Objetivo 14 se destaca como orientação em uma pesquisa de tese de doutorado, que apresenta um modelo de estratégia de valor com base nos requisitos da sustentabilidade ambiental para navios de cruzeiros marítimos. O estudo exploratório e descritivo faz um levantamento sobre regulamentações aplicáveis aos princípios da sustentabilidade ambiental, particularmente buscando-se identificar especificidades sobre o ambiente marinho, a vida na água e o tratamento realizado para a conservação e uso sustentável dos oceanos, mares e recursos marinhos. O levantamento descreve a evolução da sustentabilidade e os fatos relevantes, em ordem cronológica, após a segunda guerra mundial, até a Cúpula das Nações Unidas sobre o Desenvolvimento Sustentável, em 2015, quando foi apresentada a Agenda. Em complemento, realizou-se uma pesquisa quantitativa com 72 organizações que interagem com o ambiente marinho, com o intuito de questionar sobre o conhecimento da Agenda. Os resultados refletem a falta de conhecimento das organizações consultadas, em sua maioria, sobre os Objetivos e Metas para o desenvolvimento sustentável.
