This paper aims to investigate how to characterize the issue of trust in business transactions conducted by electronic means. This goal demonstrates the kind of research that is characterized as being exploratory, descriptive, following a qualitative approach. It begins with a theoretical foundation, which is dealt with confidence. We present the application of theoretical and empirical work. There are trends evident that the recurrence of transactions contributes to building the reputation of the parties involved. Over time, the reputation contributes to increased reliability and, consequently, reducing uncertainties. The literature review performed nationally and internationally, has shown that there are few empirical studies in Brazil that address confidence issues, business transactions and e-commerce, making it difficult to construct theories about the most consistent theme in the national context. The fieldwork raised jurisprudence relating to this question, showing that courts are establishing standards of judgment on these transactions.
Este artigo objetiva investigar como se caracteriza a questão da confiança em transações comerciais realizadas por meio eletrônico. Tal objetivo evidencia o tipo de pesquisa realizada, que se caracteriza como sendo exploratório-descritiva, seguindo a abordagem qualitativa. Inicia-se com a fundamentação teórica, onde é abordada a confiança. Apresenta-se a aplicação teórica e empírica do trabalho. Há tendências evidentes de que a recorrência das transações contribui para a construção da reputação das partes envolvidas. Ao longo do tempo, a reputação colabora para o aumento da confiança e, consequentemente, a diminuição das incertezas. A revisão de literatura, feita no âmbito nacional e internacional, mostrou que existem poucos trabalhos empíricos no Brasil que abordam os temas confiança, transações comerciais e e-commerce, o que dificultou a construção de teorias mais consistente sobre o tema no contexto nacional. A pesquisa de campo levantou jurisprudências relativas a essa questão, mostrando que os tribunais estão estabelecendo padrões de julgamento sobre essas transações.
