A la vista de los últimos cambios en la cúpula del Partido Socialista Obrero Español, se puede afirmar que los socialdemócratas españoles están finalmente plantando cara a la continua pérdida de apoyo en las urnas, que comenzó en las elecciones autonómicas de mayo de 2011 y tuvo su última manifestación en las Elecciones Europeas de Mayo de 2014. Sin embargo, Pedro Sánchez, recién elegido nuevo Secretario General, se enfrenta a un momento clave que no se solucionará con una mera reestructuración de la cadena de mando. En este artículo se planteará que el PSOE necesita reconsiderar los aspectos más elementales de su programa político, replanteando con ello el eje de su discurso político. Además, se sugerirá un plan para reconstruir y comunicar un nuevo discurso político que ayude al PSOE a superar este desafío político
In the light of the latest changes at the leadership of the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party, it could be claimed that the Spanish socialists are finally facing the persistent lack of support at the polls, which started at the autonomous elections of 2011 and had its final reflection at the European Elections of May 2014. However, Pedro Sánchez, freshly elected new secretary general of the party, faces a turning point that will not be solved with a mere restructuration of the party’s chain of command. In this article will be claimed that the PSOE has the necessity of reconsidering the core aspects of its political program, thus questioning the essence of its political discourse. Furthermore, it will be suggested a plan to reconstruct and transmit a new political discourse which may help PSOE to overcome the political adversity.
