Este texto reflexiona sobre UNASUR como ejercicio de integración entre países, un proceso de grandes alcances para Suramérica, región que hasta ahora se ha caracterizado por el subdesarrollo y la desigualdad, pero también por ser democrática y rica en recursos naturales. De manera participativa y consensuada, UNASUR pretende ser un espacio de diálogo, de concertación política y de cooperación, donde no solo se visibilicen las problemáticas, intereses y necesidades en términos económicos, sino que también sea prioritaria la construcción de comunidad, como concepto que hay que fortalecer sobre las bases del desarrollo, ese que representa avance y progreso en lo social, cultural, político, económico y ambiental.
Today America is in a state of definitions about the phenomenon of integration so far has been plural and diverse, emerging on the continent a complex reality. This letter initially mentioned exercises existing in Latin America integration, but quickly focuses solely on UNASUR as a leading issue , because it is an integration agreement whose consolidation has occurred relatively rapidly and is expected to not be "one more "but becomes a process of great scope for South America , a region that has so far been characterized by underdevelopment and inequality but also for being democratic and rich in natural resources.
