La libertad de circulación en la Unión tiene sus implicaciones en el ámbito de la educación y la formación profesional. Los requisitos que establecen los Estados miembros para el acceso de los ciudadanos de la Unión a sus sistemas educativos y a la formación profesional deben respetar dicha libertad, tanto cuando el acceso es del propio ciudadano de la Unión que ejerce la libre circulación como cuando se refiere a los familiares que lo acompañan. También se analiza el derecho de residencia por razón de estudios que es una manifestación específica de la libre circulación establecida en la normativa de la Unión.
Freedom of movement in the Union has its implications in the field of education and vocational training. The requirements established by the Member States for the access of the citizens of the Union to their educational systems and vocational training must respect that freedom, both when the access belongs to the citizen of the Union who exercises free movement and when it refers to the relatives who accompany him. The right of residence by reason of studies is also analyzed that is a specific manifestation of the free movement established in the Union regulations.
