Con el advenimiento de la cuarta revolución industrial, las distintas ciencias y áreas de conocimiento vinculadas con la administración pública se han visto obligadas a actualizarse implementando nuevas tecnologías con el fin de mejorar y potencializar sus servicios. El derecho no es ajeno a estas transformaciones, su obligado deber de modernización a conseguido que se erija una nueva noción interdisciplinar denominada “legaltech”, la cual, a pesar de su difícil conceptualización, se ha posicionado como un avance relevante en la forma en que se concibe el derecho, a través de la inclusión de herramientas tecnológicas disruptivas. En Colombia, el trabajo conjunto del Ministerio de Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones (MinTIC) y el Ministerio de Justicia y del Derecho (MinJusticia) dio como resultado la creación de una nueva plataforma al servicio del ciudadano denominada LegalApp. Dicha herramienta tecnológica se ha posicionado como uno de los proyectos de mayor cobertura que tiene su origen en el Gobierno Nacional, ya que facilita el acceso a canales de información frente a información jurídica y de servicios, algo que ha sido un punto de inicio para que la ciudadanía, los abogados, juzgados y el mismo Estado empiece a denotar la relevancia de la tecnología al servicio de la justicia.
With the advent of the fourth industrial revolution, the different sciences and areas of knowledge linked to public administration have been forced to update themselves by implementing new technologies in order to improve and enhance their services. The law is no stranger to these transformations, its obligatory duty of modernization has achieved that a new interdisciplinary notion called “legaltech” is erected, which, despite its difficult conceptualization, has positioned itself as a relevant advance in the way in which the law is conceived, through the inclusion of disruptive technological tools. In Colombia, the joint work of the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications (MinTIC) and the Ministry of Justice and Law (MinJusticia) resulted in the creation of a new platform at the service of the citizen called LegalApp. This technological tool has positioned itself as one of the projects with the greatest coverage that has its origin in the National Government, since it facilitates access to information channels regarding legal information and services, something that has been a starting point for citizens, lawyers, courts and the State itself begin to denote the relevance of technology at the service of justice.
