El objetivo de esta investigación consistió en identificar los elementos que limitaron el acceso al financiamiento al sector agropecuario en Nicaragua, durante 1990-2012. Coincidió con la aplicación de Programas de Ajuste Estructural que afectaron a más de 262 mil productores agropecuarios. Al desaparecer la banca estatal se anuló el crédito de largo plazo, y del corto plazo dirigió el 14.75% al sector. La investigación es de tipo descriptiva, comprensivo e interpretativo. Concluye que las estrategias de desarrollo agropecuario en Nicaragua no cumplen la función dinamizadora. Se elaboran propuestas para contribuir a una eficiente y efectiva asignación de recursos.
The objective of this research was to identify the elements that limited access to financing to the agricultural sector in Nicaragua during 1990-2012. It coincided with the implementation of SAPs that affected more than 262,000 farmers. State banks to disappear long-term credit was canceled, and directed the short term 14.75% to the sector. The research is descriptive, comprehensive and interpretative. It concludes that agricultural development strategies in Nicaragua do not meet the proactive role. Proposals to contribute to an efficient and effective allocation of resources are developed.
