The Gasparini room at the Madrid Royal Palace is the most known work by this artist, but not his only one in that residence of Charles III, where the King's cabinets were also designed by him. These three little rooms, paneled with exotic woods and bronze, were dismantled in 1789 and the main one was moved to Queen María Luisa's apartments. The making of this "secret cabinet" was complex as the intrincated designs and demand of Gasparini made the task difficult for the roman silversmith Antonio Vendetti, whose merit has not been properly acknowledged in the studies about this work.
