    Este artículo reconstruye la historia de la ermita de Nuestra Señora de El Torneo, en El Pardo, desde la Edad Media hasta su derribo durante el reinado de Fernando VII. Además, gracias a la documentación generada por la visita eclesiástica de 1805 y a otras fuentes, se puede analizar la disposición del edificio, su decoración y el culto que se daba a su titular. Igualmente, se estudia el devenir de la imagen de la Virgen de El Torneo tras su salida de la ermita hasta su destrucción durante la Guerra Civil.

    This article reconstructs the history of the hermitage of Our Lady of El Torneo, in El Pardo, from the Middle Age to its demolition during the reign of Fernando VII. Moreover, thanks to the documentation produced by the ecclesiastical visit in 1805 and other documentary sources, we can analyze the layout of the building, its decoration and the worship given to its own. Also, the article studies the historical events of the image of the Virgin of El Torneo after its departure from the hermitage until its destruction during the Spanish Civil War.
