This paper had two aims: identify the quality attributes of the IFMA which are associated to the loyalty of his students; and check if the students with more than 18 years old assess the school quality, and their loyalty to the school differently from the students with less than 18 years old. It was a quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study with primary data collection thought a structured questionnaire with closed questions. The descriptive statistics identified that the students considered the quality attributes from the school, the administrative staff, the physical infrastructure, and the administrative processes, with regular quality. And they considered their loyalty with the school high. The comparations of the averages pointed out that the students with more than 18 years old, attribute more quality to the technical-administrative staff, and are more loyal to the school, than the students with less than 18-year-old. The multiple linear regression showed that the quality attributes statistically significant to explain loyalty were: the quality of the administrative processes, the quality of the physical structure and the quality of the teaching staff.
Esta pesquisa teve dois objetivos, identificar os atributos de qualidade do IFMA que estão associados à lealdade dos alunos; e verificar se os alunos maiores de idade avaliam a qualidade e a sua lealdade de modo diferente ao dos alunos menores de idade. Foi um estudo quantitativo, descritivo, de corte transversal, com coleta de dados primários, por meio de aplicação de questionário estruturado com perguntas fechadas.
As estatísticas descritivas identificaram que os alunos consideraram de qualidade regular os atributos de qualidade: do corpo docente, do corpo técnico administrativo, da infraestrutura física, e dos processos administrativos. E consideraram que sua lealdade para com a instituição é alta. A comparação de médias apontou que os alunos maiores de idade atribuem mais qualidade ao corpo técnico-administrativo e são mais leais do que os alunos menores de idade. A regressão linear múltipla apontou que os atributos de qualidade que se mostraram estatisticamente significantes para explicar a lealdade são: a qualidade dos processos administrativos, a qualidade da estrutura física e a qualidade do corpo docente
