El objetivo de este artículo es doble: por una parte pretendo hacer una reflexión sobre la televisión desde una perspectiva sociológico-educativa, haciendo especial referencia al papel que cumplen los mass media y la televisión, en concreto, en la construcción social de diversos conceptos, y en la institucionalización de la representación social de diversas realidades. Y, por otra parte, pretendo hacer una reflexión, desde la Pedagogía Social y la Pedagogía de la Inadaptación Social, sobre la funcionalidad de los mass media y de la televisión.
The object of this article is doble. On the hand, I intend to reflect on the television both from a sociological and an educational perspective. I want to focus on teh role played by the mass media, and the television in particular, in relation to the social construct of various concepts and the establishment of the social representation of various realities. On the other hand, I would like to reflect also on the function performed by the mass media and the television, from the point of view of the Social Pedagogy and the Pedagogics of Social Maladjusment.
