), págs. 55-60En los últimos años, la sociedad va tomando conciencia poco a poco de la importancia de las Matemáticas.
Las Matemáticas son el lenguaje de la naturaleza, decía Galileo, y sin ellas no estaríamos en la sociedad tecnológica y de la información que, con sus ventajas e inconvenientes, nos ha tocado vivir.
En este sentido, este artículo sostiene dos tesis fundamentales:
la utilidad de las Matemáticas llega hasta los lugares más insospechados, como es el caso de la Innovación, que aquí discutiremos y la Innovación en Matemáticas surge de y en sus fronteras, tanto interiores como con las otras Ciencias, y de y en sus aplicaciones.
In recent years, society is becoming aware of the relevance of Mathematics. Mathematics is the language of nature, as Galileo stated, and without them, we would not be in the actual stage of the technological and information society that, with its advantages and disadvantages, we are now living in. In this regard, this paper discusses two main propositions: the usefulness of Mathematics has an impact on unsuspected areas, such as innovation; and innovations in Mathematics emerge from and within its borders, both internal and with other Sciences, as well as from and in its applications.
