El presente artículo surge del proyecto de investigación denominado Estado del Arte sobre la Investigación en Comunicación y Medio Ambiente; con el objetivo de construir el mapa del pensamiento e investigación constituido sobre la comunicación y medio ambiente en Latinoamérica.
Proyecto que tiene como antecedente un proceso de investigación interinstitucional de 8 años, que permitió comprender los intereses y gestiones por las cuales las organizaciones sociales se comprometen con el cambio social de problemáticas ambientales; a partir de estos hallazgos, surge el interés de conocer la incidencia de estas acciones en el campo académico, punto de partida para investigaciones posteriores.
En las siguientes líneas se presentan los resultados preliminares de carácter descriptivo sobre los resultados del mismo, en un recorrido desde la formulación de los elementos metodológicos y la definición del corpus para, posteriormente, enfatizar en los hallazgos a nivel general en Latinoamérica; finalmente, se presenta con mayor profundidad en los casos de Colombia, Brasil y México, como los lugares en los cuales se encontró mayor producción en la relación de comunicación y medio ambiente.
The present article arises from the research Project denominated Estado del arte sobre la investigación en Comunicación y Medio Ambiente, with the objective of build the knowledge and research map formed over the communication and environment in Latin America.
The background of the project is the eight years interagency research process which allowed the understanding of the interests and efforts by the social organizations are committed with the social change of the environmental issues; since these findings, emerge the interest of know the incidence of these actions in the academic field, point starting for subsequent investigations.
In the next lines will be presented the preliminaries results of descriptive character about the results from the same, in a path from the formulation of methodological elements and the corpus definition; to later emphasize in the general findings in Latin America; Finally will be presented further the cases of Colombia, Brazil and Mexico, as places in which it was found the major production in the communication and environment field.
