Este artículo pretende dar a conocer el contenido de la Biblioteca Virtual de Aragón, creada por el Gobierno de Aragón con dos objetivos fundamentales: conservar y difundir el patrimonio bibliográfico aragonés de dominio público existente en la red de bibliotecas de Aragón o en otras instituciones aragonesas que deseen participar en el proyecto, y servir de repositorio institucional, al recoger toda la documentación publicada por los distintos Departamentos del Gobierno de Aragón. Se analizan los pasos dados desde su creación, en 2007, hasta el presente, detallando los fondos que integran la colección digital (manuscritos, impresos, publicaciones periódicas y mapas) así como las principales bibliotecas que colaboran en el proyecto.
This article seeks to make public the content of the Digital Library of Aragón. The library, founded by the Government of Aragón, has two fundamental objectives: 1) preserve and disseminate the Aragonese Bibliographic Heritage of Public domain (that can be found within the network of Aragonese libraries and institutions wishing to participate in the project), and 2) serve as institutional repository, by collecting all the documentation published by the various Departments of the Government of Aragón. The article analyzes the evolution of the Digital Library of Aragón since its creation in 2007, up to the present. It also details the variety of items that integrate the digital collection (manuscripts, printed books, periodicals and maps) as well as those of the main libraries that collaborate in the project.
