El objetivo central de este trabajo es presentar tres problemas epistemológicos fundamentales para que la prospectiva económica sea considerada una herramienta metodológicamente fiable. Estos problemas son: (a) la gran influencia de la perspectiva en la proyección de futuros contingentes; (b) los efectos de variables económicas ocultas, pasadas o futuras, que pudieran afectar el objetivo proyectado (c) la influencia de las generaciones presentes sobre las futuras. Tomar consciencia de dichos problemas hace posible repensar la prospectiva económica como una herramienta hermenéutica.
The main objective of this paper is to present three fundamental epistemological problems so that the economic prospect is considered a methodologically reliable tool. These problems are: (a) the significant influence of perspective on the projection of future contingents; (b) the effects of hidden economic variables, past or future, that could affect the projected objective (c) the influence of present and future generations. Becoming aware of these problems makes it possible to rethink the economic prospect as a hermeneutical tool.
