El presente artículo de investigación presenta, de manera sucinta, el transcurrir de la orden franciscana en el Nuevo Reino de Granada en la primera mitad del siglo XVII: su abandono de la perspectiva utópica y mesiánica que los caracterizó durante el siglo XVI, la criollización de la comunidad, la fundación de sus conventos, expediciones y principales provinciales.
This research article presented succinctly, the passing of the Franciscan order in the new Kingdom of Granada in the first half of the 17TH century: its abandonment of the utopian and messianic perspective that characterized during the 16th century, the mestizaje of the community, the foundation of their convents, expeditions and main provincial.
