Este trabajo se dedica a analizar la corriente indigenista del pensamiento ecuatoriano sobre el Sumak Kawsay, considerada como la filosofía de vida de los indígenas basada en la armonía con el pueblo o comunidad (Ayllu) y con los demás seres de la naturaleza. También se da a conocer como el Sumak Kawsay no ha sido descubierto, ni inventado, sino creado por los pueblos originarios de Abya Yala e interrumpido por un proceso de genocidio y posteriormente reconstruido por los indígenas latinoamericanos, sobre todo ecuatorianos.
This work is dedicated to analyzing the indigenous trend of Ecuadorian thought about Sumak Kawsay. In it, Sumak Kawsay was defined from an indigenist perspective, as that philosophy of life of the natives based on the harmony with the Ayllu and with the other beings of the nature. He also explained how the Sumak Kawsay has not been discovered or invented, but created by the original Abya Yala peoples and interrupted by a process of genocide and later rebuilt by Latin American Indians, especially Ecuadorians.
