The paper reports the interview with the Italian writer Dacia Maraini and it deals especially with the composition of her private library of 10.000 books. The writer tells about her relationship with books: she is not a collector, she takes notes on the pages, she has lost many books important for her and owns just as many received as gift. The whole library will be donated as bequest to a private foundation specially created for this purpose.
