El proceso de diversificación en que se encuentra inmersa esta sociedad puede encontrar un claro reflejo de un amplio espectro de esta heterogeneidad en el deporte. Este proceso de diversificación está directamente relacionado con la creciente penetración y extensión de un nuevo concepto de deporte que se aleja a pasos agigantados del concepto con que surgió en esta sociedad. Así, siendo cada vez un porcentaje mayor de la población el que participa del hecho deportivo, la diversidad que presenta esta población Se evidencia también a través de las manifestaciones deportivas, pasando el deporte de ser un fenómeno asociado a un grupo muy particular de la población (hombre joven de la cultura mayoritaria y nivel educativo y clase social media—alta) a lo largo de casi todo el siglo XX, a convertirse en un crisol en el que confluyen personas de todos los sexos, edades, niveles social y educativo, religiones y culturas que coexisten en España desde finales del siglo XX. Así, lo que en una visión simplista podría parecer una Solución clara para el empleo de este sector -un nuevo grupo que sustituye a la decreciente población infantil y juvenil- se puede convertir en un problema por la falta de formación en este sentido de los profesionales del deporte en nuestro país. Todo este proceso requiere de un estudio profundo que responda a las nuevas motivaciones, tipos de práctica, modalidades deportivas y en general se hace necesaria toda una reestructuración del fenómeno deportivo ya que cada vez le resulta más difícil sustentarse en unas estructuras que Surgieron basándose en un tipo de practicantes que cada vez ocupan un lugar más minoritario entre los protagonistas del deporte en España, frente a todo un ejército social caracterizado precisamente por su gran y creciente diversidad.

This way, which in a simplistic vision might look like a clear solution for the employment of this sector —a new group that replaces the diminishing infantile and juvenile population- it is possible to turn in a problem for the lack of formation in this respect of the professionals of the sport in our country.
All this process needs a deep study that answers to the new motivations, types of practice, sport modalities and in general there is done necessary the whole restructuring of the sports phenomenon since every time him it tums out o be more difficult to be sustained in a few structures that arose being based on a type of sport players who every time occupy a more minority place among the protagonists of the sport in our country opposite to the whole social army characterizes precisely by its great and increasing diversity.
