El objetivo principal de este trabajo es revisar las relaciones de Argentina y Brasil con Corea: sus orígenes y evolución, desde una mirada histórica, en el que se repasan los lazos entre países que –pese a su lejanía geográfi ca– han pasado por procesos similares y construido vínculos que desde la restauración democrática (tanto en Corea como en América Latina), han sido sustanciales. También se hace hincapié en la necesidad que surgió de conservarlos y profundizarlos de cara a los desafíos del siglo XXI.
Th is work provides a review on the relationships of Argentina and Brazil with South Korea, from a historical perspective. Th e analysis explores the origin and evolution of the bond between the countries that –albeit geographically separate– followed similar paths, and built more prominent relations since the restoration of democracy in South Korea and its Latin American counterparts. Th ere is also special mention of the benefi ts that the strengthening of the relations can bring for all parties to face the challenges the twenty- fi rst century brings.
