Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) ha supuesto una nueva forma de entender la educación, lo que ha potenciado un debate abierto en el ámbito académico, no solo a través de publicaciones científicas, sino también a través de las redes sociales. En este artículo se presenta un estudio del debate, relativo a este concepto, mantenido en Twitter. Se ha realizado un análisis descriptivo y un análisis de contenido. Se obtiene una muestra de 9.023 tweets. Se concluye que no se ha registrado un debate en Twitter relativo a lo que significa el concepto MOOC o su implicación en la educación.
Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) has meant a new way of understanding education, which has promoted an open academic discussion, not only in scientific publications, but also by social networks. In this paper it is presented a study about MOOC discussion which has been developed at Twitter. It has conducted a descriptive analysis and content analysis. The sample obtained was 9.023 tweets. Generally speaking, might be concluded that there has not a debate about what means the concept MOOC or its involvement in education.
