El TEDH, en el caso Karácsony y otros contra Hungría, ha sentado la doctrina jurisprudencial aplicable a aquellos supuestos en que a un parlamentario se le sanciona sin haberle dado la oportunidad de poder expresarse previamente, considerando la misma contraria al derecho a la libertad de expresión.
In the Karácsony and others against Hungary case, the ECHR established the doctrine applicable in those cases where a parliamentarian is punished without giving him the opportunity to express himself previously, considering it contrary to the right to freedom of expression.
