The article describes the main contents and the aim of Percorsi e luoghi della conoscenza: dialogando con Giovanni Solimine su biblioteche, lettura e società, curators Giovanni Di Domenico, Giovanni Paoloni e Alberto Petrucciani. The book, a tribute to Giovanni Solimine’s academic career, is divided into three sections - Public library, Reading, Knowledge and society - and contains the essays of seventeen colleagues, friends and students of Solimine and a final note. The various themes, that at first sight seem unconnected, provide the broad-minded approach of “Solimine’s Library and information science”.
