• This year, the term “bibliotherapy” celebrates its centenary. The concept of bibliotherapy was created by Samuel Crothers, who wrote an article entitled “Literary Clinic”. It’s a little know work and out of practice. However, it contains all the elements that currently are used to practise the bibliotherapy. This article aims to explain the evolution of the term “bibliotherapy” in different fields, starting with the main content of Crothers’ essay.
