In Italy, reading is not a widespread habit, and promoting it would require a strong alliance between publishers, booksellers, librarians, teachers and all the subjects interested in reading diffusion. The Association “Forum del libro” acted in this direction for many years. Recently, there have been some discrepancies between the organizers of the Turin International Book Fair and the Italian Association of Publishers, and this could lead to a n useless waste of efforts.
