En los últimos 10 años en el Instituto de Investigaciones se ha dado una gran transformación en cuanto al desarrollo de su política de investigación, diferenciándose cuatro etapas: 1965-1975,1975-1986, 1987-1991, 1992-1998, en cada una de las cuales se ha visto como ha ido mejorando la investigación, al punto que, puede hablarse de una política de investigación dirigida a fortalecer las líneas de investigación, desarrollo del recurso humano, introducción y ampliación de los recursos tecnológicos de apoyo a la investigación, así como también de todos los procesos inherentes a la labor investigativa, fomentándose la extensión y la vinculación tanto con Pregrado como con Postgrado.
Over the last decades in the Research Institute, there has been a great transfonnation in the area of the development of research policy, differentiated in four distinct stages: 1965-1975,1975-1986,1987-1991, 1992-1998. In each stage the research has been improving, to the point where we can now refer to a research policy directed towards strengthening lines ofresearch, developing human resources, introducing and increasing technological resourcesupport for researeh, and also all of the proeesses inherent to the area of researeh, fomenting extention and ties with both pre-grad and post-graduate programs .
