    En 2013 ha sido liberado el programa Places v3. 0 como herramienta para el cálculo de lugares y redes de lugares, cuya teoría se encuadra en los sistemas de equivalencia estructural, caracterizándose por combinar unos fuertes principios sociológicos y un algoritmo matemático sencillo, lo que la hace apta para afrontar una variedad de problemáticas de investigación sin estar limitada por el tamaño de la población a estudio. En esta reseña, la descripción del programa y su funcionamiento se acompañan con apuntes de la teoría de lugares.

    In 2013, the software Places v3. 0 has been released. This software is a tool for calculating Places and Networks of Places, whose theory is framed in structural equivalence systems, characterized by combining strong sociological principles and simple mathematical algorithm. This makes it suitable tool for addressing a variety of research issues without being limited by the size of the study population. In this review, the description of the program and its functioning has been accompanied with notes on the theory of places.
