Resumen de Sexual Orientation and the Right to Organize The Case of LEGABIBO in Botswana

• The article discusses the social conditions of LGBT people in Botswana. It refers to the formation of the Lesbians, Gays and Bisexuals of Botswana (LEGABIBO) which is an LGBT group initiated in 1998 under the Ditshwanelo Centre for Human Rights. It notes the rejection of the director of the Department of Civil and National Registration and subsequently the Minister of Labour and Home affairs on the application of LEGABIBO to register as a lawful organization as prescribed by the Societies Act.
